Fabriq roles control permissions related to objects (tickets, routines, KPIs, dashboards, announcements) and members.
The administration of standards for these objects is shared between the organisation and sites. As an organisation administrator, you can give some local flexibility to sites and teams in managing and standardizing their objects.
Governance at organisation level
Managing configuration rights
In the organisation settings, you access the administration console which allows you to manage all standards.
As an organisation administrator, you can give local flexibility to sites and teams in the configuration of each standard, using the "Edit configuration rights" button.
The configuration right allows you to create and modify all standards. A site administrator who can configure categories will be able to modify a category, even if it is used on a site other than the one they administer, unless it is locked (see below).
Note: it is always the lowest right that is displayed. Thus, if a team administrator can configure labels, site and organisation administrators will also be able to do so.
Locking standards at organisation level
To protect a particular standard and prevent it from being modified by a local administrator, you can use the locking functionality at organisation level.
For example, a locked ticket template cannot be modified by a site administrator, even if they have the right to configure ticket templates.
This functionality is very useful for giving autonomy to local administrators whilst maintaining control over standards.
Local flexibility at site level
In the site settings, site administrators can always view the list of all organisation standards and assign them to their sites and teams. This prevents a property that already exists from being recreated on another site, thus avoiding duplicates and ensuring better standardisation at scale.
By default, only organisation administrators can configure standards. If you are a site administrator and wish to create or modify organisation standards, contact your organisation administrator to obtain this right.
Assignment remains limited to each user's scope of administration. Thus, an administrator of site A cannot assign or remove a property from site B.
If a standard is locked at organisation level, the site administrator cannot edit it. Only assignment remains possible.
